Laurel A. McGeary, age 67, of Sheboygan passed away
surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Sheboygan
Progressive Health Services.
Laurel was born in Sheboygan on January 31, 1951 to the late
Arthur and LaVerne (TenPas) Jensen. She attended local schools and graduated
from South High School. She was a nursing assistant and retired in 2011.
On September 24, 1996 Laurel married the love of her life,
Michael McGeary in Las Vegas, NV. Laurel loved going to the cottage on Crooked
Lake. She also enjoyed gardening, painting, and spending time with her pets.
Family was very important to Laurel and she loved making memories with her
grandchildren who could always put a smile on her face.
Along with her husband Michael, Laurel is survived by a son
James Klein; step-sons, Chris (Becky) McGeary and Scott (Mandy) McGeary; two
daughters, Ronda (Matt) McMullen and Tanya Zabel; a step-daughter Stacey (Phil)
Cheney; 12 grandchildren, Shane Feustel, Gabrelle, Owen and Eva McMullen, Jareb,
Sommer and Arianna Zabel, Wesley, MarLee Burger, and Sage Klein, Tyler and
Keegen McGeary and two sisters, Mary Cox and Ellen Jensen. Other family and
friends further survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father
Fritz Shinkle and a brother Laren Jensen.
Private services will be held at a later date.
A memorial fund has been established in Laurel’s name.
