Ruth S. Zittel, 97, of Sheboygan, passed away on Saturday,
May 26, 2018 at Sheboygan Senior Community Center in Sheboygan. She was born November 25, 1920 in Sheboygan to
Barney and Gertha (Bogen) Stenske. Ruth
attended Immanuel Lutheran Grade School, graduated from Sheboygan High School
with the class of 1938, and went on to graduate from Business College in
Chicago, IL.
On April 25, 1944 she was united in marriage to Reinhold
Zittel at Trinity Lutheran Church. He
preceded her in death on August 19, 1996.
Ruth worked in the corporate office of the H.C.Prange Company for 25
years. She enjoyed writing and was the
editor of the monthly newsletter the Beach Comber for 25 years. Her family was her greatest joy and she
enjoyed creating many great memories with them
Ruth was the proud mother of two sons, John B. (Kathie)
Zittel and Tom R. (Gloria) Zittel, grandchildren; Megan (Joel) Van De Kreeke,
Molly (Gary) Oehldrich, Amanda (Brian) Reichert, Philip (Mindy) Zittel, and
Jacob Zittel, great-grandchildren; Gavin and Camden Van De Kreeke, Alexander,
Allison, and Paige Oehldrich, Torsten Zittel, Kennedy Zittel, McKenna and Ethan
Pleasant, she is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband, and two brothers, Robert (Alice) Stenske and Donald
(Betty) Stenske.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at
2:00 PM at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church 1127 Eisner Ave., Sheboygan, with
Pastor Adam Barkley officiating.
Inurnment will take place at Wildwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the
family from 1:30 PM until the time of service at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Luther Memorial
in Ruth’s name.
