Phyllis J. Pilon age
90 of Sheboygan, passed away Monday, May 14 peacefully at her home.
Phyllis was born in
Richland Center, Wisconsin on November 28, 1927. She was a graduate of Stout State University
in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics. Phyllis taught two years of Home Economics in
Janesville, Wisconsin. In 1951 she was
united in marriage to David E. Pilon of Niagara, Wisconsin. They both taught in the Sheboygan Public
Schools. She was an active member of St.
Dominic Catholic Church. Phyllis enjoyed
working in Cub Scouts and was a Girl Scout leader. Later she taught adult sewing classes at the
Technical School. Phyllis and David
enjoyed traveling abroad, taking family camping trips, playing bridge and
attending Community Players.
Survivors include her
loving husband David of sixty six years, her five children, Dan (Debra) Pilon,
Murraysville, PA, Doug Pilon, Niagara, WI, Don (Patti) Pilon, Sheboygan, WI,
Ruth (Jack) Petersen, Carmel, IN, and Mary (Jim) Rustad, Rochester, MN; twelve
grandchildren, Peter, Phillip, Nathan, Jamey, Dave, Joe, Andy, Dan, John, Brittany,
Eric and Kevin, and four great grandchildren.
Besides her parents,
she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Walsh, Donald Walsh and her
sister Marian Elliott.
Family and friends
will be received on Friday, June 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Olson Funeral Home &
Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave., Sheboygan. A funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 2nd at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2133 N. 22nd St., Sheboygan. Fr. Matthew Widder will celebrate the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a
memorial fund in Phyllis Pilon’s name has been established.
