Ella Mae Sander, age 70, of rural Plymouth, passed away
Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at her home where she was surrounded by her loving
family.
She was born in Plymouth on March 9, 1948, daughter of the
late Leroy and Anita (Maurer) Laack.
Ella Mae attended local grade schools and later graduated
from Plymouth High School in 1966.
On May 25, 1968, she married the love of her life, Mark
Sander, at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth. The couple resided in the Town of Rhine
following their marriage. Mark preceded
her in death on February 16, 2018.
Throughout her life, Ella Mae worked for ClevePak, Gilson,
Adams Pharmacy, Camp Anokijig, and most recently was a caretaker for Mark until
his passing.
She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends,
and had a real passion for sewing.
Survivors include: Two sons: Steven of Kiel and Scott (Barb)
of rural Plymouth; Two step-granddaughters: Brianna (Eric) Baesemann and Becca
Diestler; Brother: Ronald Laack; Brother-in-law: Stanley (Barb) Sander; and Sisters-in-law:
Christine (Dick) Fontany and Sheila (Rich) Solek.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Ella Mae was preceded in death by: Her husband: Mark;
Parents: Anita and Leroy; Parents-in-law: Verona and Willard Sander; and
Brother-in-law: Dwight.
Following Ella Mae’s wishes, cremation has taken place and
there will be no services or visitation.
