Linda (Bender) Flores, 67, of Newton, passed away peacefully
on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, surrounded by her family at Froedtert Memorial
Lutheran Hospital following complications of a severe infection.
Linda was born August 11, 1950 to Ralph and Cordelia
“Connie” (Schneider) Bender. She was
raised in the village of Cleveland and attended St. Wendel Catholic School and
Kiel High School. Linda enjoyed time in
Girl Scouts, 4-H, and won many ribbons showing ponies at the county fair.
On July 31, 1971, she was united in marriage to Phillip
Flores at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Osman.
Together, Linda and Phil made their home in the town of Meeme for 46
years. Linda devoted her life to
creating a loving home for Phil and their four children, Wendy, David, Beth,
Carrie. Her cooking and baking were
loved by many and everyone was welcome around her kitchen table. She was a Cub Scout leader and helped out in
the kitchen at Camp Rokilio for many events.
She is survived by her husband, Phil Flores; her daughters,
Wendy Flores, Beth Flores, and Carrie Flores; her mother, Connie Bender; her
brother, Francis (Patricia Papez) Bender; her sister, Lora (Mike) Eisner; her
brothers-in-law, Peter (Patti) Flores and Robert (Darlene Meyer-Otto) Flores; a
special sister-in-law Patricia (Larry) Crowell; her nieces and nephews and
their children; other relatives and friends.
Awaiting Linda in heaven is her son David; her father, Ralph
Bender; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Leona Flores; her niece,
Jennifer Eisner; and many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018
at 7:00 PM at Zimmer-Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton
Rd. Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may
visit with the family on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 4:00 PM until the time of
service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in
Linda’s name.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to
Dr. Edit Olasz Harken and the entire team at Medical College of Wisconsin
Dermatology department, as well as Froedtert Hospital staff for all of their
care and compassion over the past 6 years.
Our beloved wife and mother is finally free of pain,
reunited with her son, and flying high with the angels.
