Robert “Bob” A. Kammerzelt, age 78, went to be with his Lord
on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Sheboygan Senior Community.
Robert was born in Sheboygan on April 3, 1940 to Arthur and
Laura (Goldapske) Kammerzelt. He attended local schools and graduated from
Central High School. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from
1958 until 1962. On June 29, 1963 Robert was united in marriage to Patricia
(Hacker) at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Robert was a dedicated
employee at Kohler Company for over 40 years, rarely missing a days work thus
instilling a great work ethic in all three of his children. He retired from
Kohler Company in 2003.
Bob was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing on the “Big
Pond”, and golfing. Many memories were made during deer hunting trips up north
with sons, grandsons, and close hunting buddies. He also found enjoyment in the
game of cribbage, teaching each of his children and grandchildren the game. Anyone
who knew Bob could understand and appreciate his unique sense of humor.
Spending time with his family was one of the most valuable things to Bob. The
memories made with him will always be treasured and never be forgotten. He was
one of a kind and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.He was one of a kind
Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia; three children,
Scott (Shelly) Kammerzelt, Kelly (Warren) Roelse and Cory (Kris) Kammerzelt;
mother Laura Kammerzelt; grandchildren, Hillary, Haley, and Ramsey Kammerzelt,
Hope (fiancé Derick Hagenow), Gabrielle, and Gavin Roelse, Cody and Dalton
Kammerzelt; three great grandchildren, Payton, Ryin, and Leighton Hagenow; two
brothers, James (Diane) Kammerzelt and Gerald (Linda) Kammerzelt; sister Sharyn
(Bill) Mondloch; mother-in-law Florence Dillman and brothers-in-law; Lance
(Sharon) Hacker, Lee (Joyce) Hacker, and Michael (Brenda) Dillman. Other family
and friends further survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur;
granddaughter Mackenzie Roelse; sister-in-law Lynne Kuklinski; brother-in-law
Billy Grider and father-in-law Charles Dillman.
A memorial service for Bob will be held at 7 PM on Friday,
May 4, 2018 at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132
Garton Rd, Sheboygan, with Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Family will receive
visitors from 5 PM until the time of service at 7 PM. Inurnment will take place
at Lutheran Cemetery.
The family would like to personally thank Dr. Kumar and his
staff, the wonderful nurses and aides at The Sheboygan Senior Community
(special thanks to his favorites), and the compassionate visiting nurses from
Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. The support you have shown for our
family is greatly appreciated.
