Martha
Helen Meise, 105, of rural
Sheboygan
Falls passed away peacefully on March 27, 2018 at her
daughter’s home in
Palos Hills,
IL.
Martha was born on February 22, 1913 in Town Herman, daughter of Albert and
Sophie (Schneider) Schulz. She attended
school at Schwarzwald. In her early
years she worked at various grocery stores in
Sheboygan and Kohler. On May 16, 1936 she married Albrecht Meise. In
1943 she and Al bought their farm in Town Meeme. Here she enjoyed farming, gardening, and
raising her family.
Martha was a member of Schwarzwald Church most of her life. When she was 101 she decided to live with her
daughters. Then she became a member of
St Peter Evangelical Church.
Martha
cherished her faith, family, and friends.
She was an excellent cook, and baker.
She enjoyed playing various card games but sheepshead was number
one.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Janice Schneider of rural Sheboygan Falls
and her children; Jodi Schneider of rural Sheboygan Falls, Tonia Schneider of
Houston, Texas, and David (Elicia) Schneider and their children Gabrielle, David, and Eulaina of Knoxville,
Tennessee.
She
survived by her daughter Carolyn Porter of
Palos Hills,
IL and her children Christine (
Wayne) Rudnick, and Marjorie
Porter of Aurora IL.
She is
further survived by her brother Edmund Schulz, foster great grandchildren
Teresa and David Reed, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Martha
was preceded in death by her husband, Al, her sons in law Wm Porter and Walter Schneider,
her parents, and her siblings: Paul and
Lena Schulz, Norma and August Dedow, Arno and Martha Schulz, Raymond Schulz,
Valeska and Carl Johnson, Hilda and Henry Wahlgren, Emma and Waldemar Kinzel,
Ruth Schulz, Esther and Richard Seidl, a sister in law, Marion Schulz and a
foster great grandson, Christopher Pinkins.
Funeral services to
celebrate Martha’s life will be held at noon Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St
Peter Evangelical Church in the Town of
Rhine (W5375
County Road FF, rural
Elkhart Lake,
WI) with Rev. Ted McCurdy
officiating. Burial will take place at
10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16 at
St John’s
UCC
Cemetery
(Schwarzwald),
W3401 Orchard Road,
rural
Elkhart Lake,
WI.
Relatives and friends may call at St Peter Evangelical Church on Saturday from
9 a.m. until the time of the services at 12 noon.

great grandson was cured of cancer), or the charity of your choice would be
