Marjorie Jean Brill, 86, of
Oostburg, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, March 30, 2018, at
the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Marge was born on January 18,
1932, in Sheboygan Falls to Milford and Edna (VerGowe) Harmelink. She was a
1949 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On March 21, 1953, Marge married
Jerry Brill. They were blessed with
celebrating 65 years together. Marge devoted her life to being a loving wife and
mother, staying home to raise their children. Marge enjoyed working for several
years at the Variety Store in Oostburg, where she gave away most of her
paycheck with buying candy for the kids.
Marge was a member of First
Presbyterian Church in Oostburg, where she sang in the church choir, taught
Sunday school, and was involved in bible studies. Marge enjoyed bowling,
playing cards, especially teaching the grandchildren how to play cribbage,
visiting with people at the nursing homes, traveling, including the several
trips to Branson with Jerry to help with the maintenance at the Discipleship
Focus Bible Camp, time spent up at the cottage and snowmobiling up north. Marge
loved spending time with her family and attending and cheering at all the
sporting events of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marge
had a kind and loving spirit that will be greatly missed by all who knew and
loved her.
Marge is survived by her husband,
Jerry Brill; four children, Randy (Mary) Brill, Connie (Steve) Berg, Peggy
(Robert) Launer and David (Ann) Brill; eleven grandchildren, Eric (Lindee)
Brill, Jason (Andrea) Brill, Kevin (Ashley) Brill, Luke (April) Launer, Kaitlin
(Tyler) Beinlich, Stefanie Berg, Matthew Launer, Amanda Launer, Gretchen Berg,
Christopher Brill, and Joshua Brill; eleven great-grandchildren, Abby, Preston,
Henry, Lauren, Anna, Sam, Kendall, Natalie, Aubrey, Landon, and Paxton; two
brothers, Wes (Nancy) Harmelink, and Roger (Marge) Harmelink; three sisters,
Beverly (John) Scholten, Lynn (Randy) Hoftiezer, and Sandy (Rich) VanZyl; and
three brothers-in-law, Roger (Alice) Wagner, Harry (Sandy) Brill, and Wendell
Hoffmann. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Marge was preceded in death by
her parents; daughter, Vicki Lynn Brill; sister, Sherry Wagner; sister-in-law,
Beverly Hoffmann; parents-in-law, Harry and Mabel Brill; and brother-in-law,
Jonathan (Delores) Brill.
A funeral service to celebrate
Marge's life will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11am at the First
Presbyterian Church in Oostburg with Rev. Brian Jacobson officiating. A burial
will take place at Oostburg Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet
the family on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg
from 4pm until 8pm and again on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the CHURCH from 10am
until the time of service at 11am.
A memorial fund is being
established in her name for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
