James
Alan (Jim) Kohls, age 52, of Sheboygan Falls passed away Wednesday, March 28,
2018 unexpectedly at his home. The son of Ralph and Jayne (Petersdorf)
Jaworski, he was born on April 16, 1965 in Milwaukee, WI.
Jim
attended Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School, and later worked through his
apprenticeship to receive his journeyman tool and die maker card through
Lakeshore Technical College. He worked for various machine and tool and
die shops during his life, and was most recently employed as a machinist at Gen
Mac Corporation in Sheboygan.
Jim was first married to Toni Foral in 1987. In 1996,
he married Laurie (Sprangers) Schwartzer. Jim and Laurie have one
daughter, Hailey. In 2013 he was united in marriage to Janell De Smidt
(nee Johnson).
Jim
loved NASCAR and was a huge Matt Kenseth fan. He also loved his Dewalt
tools, Harley Davidson motorcycles, playing on his drums, and going to local
ranges to shoot guns with his friends. He was a master at building, renovating,
and fixing almost anything that crossed his path. His talents allowed him
to completely renovate his first home in Sheboygan, and he was a key member of
a Habitat for Humanity build team in Sheboygan.
Survivors
include his loving daughter, Hailey Kohls of Wisconsin Dells; Wife: Janell
Kohls of Sheboygan Falls; three sisters: Christine (Tim) Gosse of Hawaii, Lisa
Townsend of Appleton, and Lynn (Kevin) Keller of Plymouth; three brothers:
Joseph (Joann) Kohls of Green Bay, James (Aditya) Jaworksi of Oshkosh, and Tim
Kohls of Madison; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
His beloved dog, Lacey, will miss him very much.
Jim
was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother Pauly; his brother-in-law
Michael Townsend; and special Uncle Tony Petersdorf.
Friends
and family may call at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth for a celebration of
Jim’s life on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 4:00 pm until the memorial service
at 6:00 pm. There will be a time to share stories and memories.
Cremation will take place following the services.
In
lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jim’s name.
