Roland “Rollie” Tauschek, age 90, of Sheboygan Falls, passed
away late Monday afternoon, (March 19, 2018) at Pine Haven Christian Home,
where he had been a resident for the past 3 months.
He was born in Sheboygan on December 21, 1927, son of the
late Frank and Olga (Richter) Tauschek.
Rollie attended Mapledale School and graduated from
Sheboygan Central High School in 1946.
Following High School, he served in the United States Army from 1946-1947.
On June 26, 1954, he married Edith Roepke at St. John Lutheran
Church in Plymouth. The couple resided
in the Town of Sheboygan Falls following their marriage. Edith preceded him in death on April 22,
2013.
He was employed at Kohler Company for over 40 years,
retiring in 1993. Following his
retirement, he worked 14 years at the Sear’s Department Store in Sheboygan in
the Paint/Tool Department.
Rollie was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth,
where he served as an Elder and was also an usher for many years. He was also a
leader for the Madison All-Stars 4-H Club.
He enjoyed gardening, traveling, woodworking, and spending
time with his loving family. Rollie had
a special bond with his youngest grandson Sebastian. Together they created many wonderful
memories.
Survivors include: Five children: David (Kathy) Tauschek of
Sheboygan, Laurie Kleine of Franklin, Steve (Mary Jane) Tauschek of Sheboygan,
Bruce (Diane) Tauschek of Grafton, Julie (Jeff) Bayer of Sheboygan, Ten
grandchildren: Holly Tauschek of Minneapolis, MN, Megan Tauschek of Sheboygan,
Melissa Kleine
of Milwaukee, Kristi Kleine of FL, Michael (Aurora) Thomas of Brown Deer,
Preston and Analiese Tauschek of Grafton, Jackson, Avery and Sebastian Bayer of
Sheboygan. Three Great grandchildren: Elizabeth Castro, Augusta and Bessie
Thomas. One Sister-in-law: LaVerne Tauschek
of Sheboygan; and One Brother-in-law: Dick Winter of Sheboygan Falls.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives
and many friends.
Rollie was preceded in death by: His parents; Wife: Edith;
Son-in-law: Dick Kleine; Sister: Crescentia Winter; Three Brothers: Tony
(Phyllis) Tauschek, Bernard Tauschek, and Frank Tauschek; and Two Sisters-in-law:
Evelyn (Earl) Triphan and Sharon Roepke.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday (March 24, 2018)
at 12:00 Noon at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador, Pastor of the Church will
officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at CHURCH on Saturday (March 24)
from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in
Roland’s name.
