Irmgard “Irmie” S. Arndt, age 95, formerly of Plymouth, WI,
passed away Monday morning (Feb. 19, 2018) at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake
where she had been a resident for the past 2 ½ years.
Irmgard was born on February 4, 1923 in Random Lake, WI, a daughter
of the late Ernst and Amalia Zuengler Bohlmann.
She attended St. John Lutheran Parochial School in Sherman
Center and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1940.
On November 22, 1941, she married Everett E. Arndt in Random
Lake. The couple resided in Random Lake area since their marriage, before
moving
to
Plymouth
in 1994.
Irmie worked at H.C. Prange Company in Sheboygan from 1965
to 1988 when she retired. After
retirement, she volunteered for VNA Hospice and Community Home Hospice.
Irmie was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sherman Center
all her life and was a member of the Mission Circle, Ladies Guild and served on
the Funeral Committee in the church.
Survivors include: her loving husband of 76 years: Everett
of Random Lake; Two daughters: Carole (Gary) Glidden of Glen Falls, NY, Kathleen
(Sergio) Serna of Homosassa Springs, FL; One son: Gerald (Janet) Arndt of
Denver, CO; Five grandsons: Matthew (Kimberly) Glidden of Baldwinsville, NY, Keith
(Margaret) Glidden of South Hamilton, MA, Pablo (Christine) Serna of Appleton,WI,
Mario (Melissa) Serna of Sheboygan, WI and Ryan (Alex) Arndt of Sacramento, CA;
and One brother: Gerhard (Elaine) Bohlmann.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by Two brothers: Walter and David
Bohlmann and
Three brother-in-law’s: Melvin Arndt, Erwin (Ilma) Arndt,
and Vernon (Marcie) Arndt
Funeral Services will be held on Friday morning (Feb. 23,
2018) at 12:00 Noon
at St. John
Lutheran
Church in
Sherman
Center. Rev. Peter Peitsch, pastor of Grace Lutheran
Church in Elkhart Lake will officiate.
Burial will be in the
Parish
Cemetery.
Friends may call at CHURCH from 11:00 A.M. on Friday until
the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in
her name for St.
John Lutheran Church Debt Retirement Fund.
