Margaret A. Menzer, 91, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday morning, February 12, 2018 at Pine Haven Christian Home where she had been residing.
Born March 18, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI, Margaret was a daughter of the late August and Rose Skwierawski Kozlowski. She attended Milwaukee area schools. On May 29, 1948, she was united in marriage to Richard J. Prasser in Milwaukee. They were married for 29 years before Richard preceded her in death on July 9, 1977. She then married Frederick Menzer on March 8, 1980 in Milwaukee. Fred preceded her in death on November 2, 2015.
Marge was a teachers aid for many years at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, IL. After her marriage to Fred, she worked with him at Menzer Glass until their retirement. She previously worked for the Visiting Nurses Association in Milwaukee. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Christine (Dickson) Lester, Powder Springs, GA, Robert (Lehua) Prasser, Haleiwa, HI, and Cathy (Mark) Anderson, Batavia, IL; her daughter-in-law, Mary Prasser, Rapid City, SD; her ten grandchildren, Wendy (Blu) Pearson, Alexandria, Egypt, April Lester, Powder Springs, GA, Matthew Lester, Powder Springs, GA, Jessica (Jason) Cooley, Lancaster, PA, Mollie Petersen, Rapid City, SD, Leimomi Prasser, Haleiwa, HI, Ipo (Gary) Wirtz, Haleiwa, HI, Joshua (Tasia) Prasser, Murfreesboro, TN, Matthew Anderson, Denver, CO, and Michael Anderson, Chicago, IL; eight great grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Beverly Prasser, Hartland, WI, Barbara Prasser, Indian Head, MD, and Wilma Spindler, MN. She is further survived by her stepchildren, Robert (JoAnne) Menzer, Sheboygan, Frederick (Betty) Menzer, Brownsville, Kathleen (Mike) Skelton, Cleveland, and David (Julie) Menzer, Sheboygan; her step-daughter-in-law, Barbara Menzer, Sheboygan; 10 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husbands, Richard and Frederick, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Prasser; her sister, Phyllis (Ernie) Benner, and her stepson, Donald Menzer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 21st & Geele. Fr. Matthew Widder will celebrate the Mass. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
