Patricia A.
O’Brien, 83, a longtime resident of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday,
February 1, 2018 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth. She was born on April 21, 1934 in Sheboygan
to Arno and Viola (Berger) Herminghaus.
On August
23, 1990 she was united in marriage to Alvin Donohue, he preceded her in death
on November 12, 1997.
Patricia
worked for Rex Clean in Sheboygan, and later for Aurora Sheboygan Memorial
Medical Center in food service. She was
an avid dog lover, NASCAR and Packer fan.
Most important to Patricia was her family, she loved spending time with
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren creating memories. She was the family historian and would spend
hours with her cousin Judy working on it, so the family would know their
heritage.
She is
survived by her son Patrick (Nancy) O’Brien, grandchildren; Francis (Dennis
Wesener) O’Brien, Christopher (Amy) O’Brien, and Michael (Meredith) O’Brien, by
great-grandchildren; Hudson, Brody, Harrison, Jack, and Madelyn, by
step-children, Edward (Denise) Donohue and Jeannette (Joseph) White, by her
sister-in-law Patricia Kalk, cousin Judy Kober, and nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. Patricia was
preceded in death by her parents, 2

husband Alvin Donohue, brother
Wayne Kalk, and step-son Kenneth Donohue.
A Memorial
Service will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Ballhorn
Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8
th
St.
Sheboygan, with Pastor DuWayne Hanke officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the
family on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at
the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of
flowers, memorials maybe made to Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Patricia’s
name.
The family
would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Rocky Knoll Health Care
Center for all their care, compassion, and support, and to Terry Jones for
being a good neighbor for over 40 years and helping Patricia with her snow and
lawn care.
Patricia
died from complications of COPD. Her
wish was to let people know that they should QUIT SMOKING, so they don’t suffer
like she had.
