Richard Joseph Blaul (Rick), age 59 passed away peacefully
at home with his family by his side on Thursday afternoon (January 18, 2018) in
Necedah Wisconsin.
Rick was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 23, 1958; son of
the late Dorothy and Arthur Blaul. Rick attended Willowbrook High School in
Lombard, Illinois and went on to attend Chicago City College where he studied
Psychology and Crisis Management. Rick proudly served his country and was
honorably discharged from The United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant.
Rick worked in law enforcement in Chicago and then went on
to work in the automotive industry; he also had a passion for BBQ and was a
Kansas City BBQ Judge. Rick loved cooking BBQ, cinnamon ice cream, hunting and
fishing, and spending time laughing with his family while watching
Seinfeld.
Rick was a loving husband to Tracy for 36 years; their love
for each other shined through in every aspect of their daily lives. Rick and
Tracy raised four, wonderful sons who will fondly remember Rick dancing with
Tracy in the kitchen.
Rain or shine, Rick attended every single sporting event of
his four boys. He could never sit still, and on any given Saturday you could
find him in a Fleet Farm building supply aisle picking up supplies for a home project
he was working on. Rick also loved spending time with his kids and grandkids
and was unarguably the ‘best dad ever’.
Rick was a tough love, honest and kind dad. Rick is survived by his loving wife, Tracy
and four sons: Ricky (Katie) Blaul of Carver MN. Michael (Karla) Blaul of Cabot
AR. James (Danielle) Blaul of Albany GA. Tom (Jenny) Blaul of Newton WI. As
well as four grandchildren: Emma, Brock, Regan and Mickey. Four siblings Mary
(Gunther) Forsythe, John Blaul, Bob Blaul, David (Hyuen) Blaul, and
brother-in-law Bruce (Carol) Fisher; further survived by many nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sister Donna Blaul; parents,
Dorothy and Arthur Blaul; mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Violet Fisher and
brother-in-law Bobby Fisher. Grandmother Hilda Blaul and Nana.
