Loretta M. Gahagan, age 90, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully
on Friday afternoon (Jan. 19, 2018) surrounded by her loving family, at Rocky
Knoll Health Care Facility where she had been a resident for the past 7 years.
Loretta was born on October 8, 1927 in St. Cloud, WI, a
daughter of the late Edmund and Leona (Feldner) Berenz.
She attended St. Claudius Catholic Grade School in St.
Cloud, Wis.
Loretta worked at Plymouth Industrial Products for 20 years.
On November 10, 1951, she married Jerome D. “Jerry” Gahagan
at St. Claudius Catholic Church in St. Cloud, WI. The couple resided in
Plymouth following their marriage. Jerry preceded her in death on September 24,
1997.
Loretta was employed at the Gilson Bros. Company in Plymouth
for 18 years
retiring in 1986.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in
Plymouth and a member of the Christian Women Society. She was also a member of
the VFW Women’s Auxiliary World Cheese Center Post #5612 in Plymouth and
belonged to the Plymouth AARP.
Loretta enjoyed camping, crafts of all sorts, and
babysitting for her grandchildren.
Survivors include: Three daughters: Gail Gahagan, Gerri
(Mike) Harrington, and Georgine (Al) Mueller, all of Plymouth; Five
grandchildren: Jonathan (Krystin) Harrington of Plymouth and their children:
Kalan, Kaleb, and Kole, Lindsey (Ryan) Vandehey of Appleton and their son,
Lucas, Matthew (Jade) Harrington of Plymouth and their children: Stella and
Josie, Jordan Mueller of Plymouth, and Hayley Mueller of Plymouth.
She is further survived by: One sister: Virginia “Jean” Baumgartner of St. Cloud, WI;
One sister-in-law: Adeline Gahagan of Sheboygan Falls; along with many nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Husband: Jerome,
One brother: Ellrith “Al” Berenz.
Prayer Services will be held for Loretta on Wednesday
evening (January 24, 2018) at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
Fr. Dennis Van Beek will officiate.
Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in
Plymouth.
Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home on
Wednesday (Jan. 24) from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial Fund is being established in Loretta’s
name.
