William E.
“Bill” Zirbel, age 75, of Sheboygan Falls, WI, passed away Wednesday Afternoon
(Jan. 17, 2018) at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
He was born
on October 12, 1942 in Sturgeon Bay, WI, a son of the late Elmer and Mabel
(Lenius) Zirbel.
After graduating
from Southern Door High School in 1960 he served in the United States Army
National Guard.
On January
7, 1967, he married Sharon “Sherry” Feldmann at First United Church in
Sheboygan.
The couple
was married until 1988.
Bill worked
at Sheboygan County Comprehensive Hospital for several years and Prange’s
Bakery in Sheboygan for 38 years.
Bill enjoyed
spending time at his home with his family and coffee with his friends at
McDonald’s.
Survivors
include: Two Children: Todd (Jennifer) Zirbel of New Holstein and Sheila
(Steve) Fermanich of Bartlett, TN; One Grandchild: Alyssa Fermanich of
Bartlett, TN; One sister: Janice Schmidtke of Sheboygan Falls; Nephews: Jason
(Sue), James, and Jeffrey Schmidtke; and His longtime friend: Earl Grunwald of
Milwaukee.
Also
survived by many cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was
preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, Norman Schmidtke.
Following
Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family Celebration of
Life of Bill’s
will take
place.
In lieu of
flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bill’s his name.
