Judith
Burns, 75, of Cedar Grove passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the
Sheboygan Progressive Care Center.
Judy was
born on February 2, 1942 to Philip and Katherine (Mueller) Hirstein. Judy was a
graduate of West Bend High School. On November 26, 1965 she married Robert H.
Burns in Elko, Nevada. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2007. Judy was a
CNA for 24 years at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center until her retirement in
2006.
Judy owned
and operated Char-Bob Greenhouse in Cedar Grove. She did plant fundraising for
the Cedar Grove and Belgium Boy Scouts, the Safe Harbor Women’s Shelter and the
Sheboygan Progressive Care Center Activities. Judy enjoyed her greenhouse,
flower arranging, doing crafts and spending time with her family.
Judy is survived
by her three daughters, Christine (special friend Patrick Jaskinia) Bonebrake,
Deanna (Dennis) Sheffield, and Lynn (Ryan) Johnson; one son, Philip (Michelle)
Burns; six grandchildren, Brandon, Brock and Amber Bonebrake, Pamela Sheffield,
Sara and Chloe Burns; sister, Sandra Hanson; one niece, Lisa Radloff; and two
nephews, Mark and Michael (Bobbie) McGrew.
She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and one brother-in-law,
Donnell Hanson.
A graveside
service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at
2pm at Presbyterian Cemetery in the town of Holland.
In lieu of
flowers memorials can be made in her name.
The family
wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Staff of Sheboygan Progressive
Care Center for all their care and compassion they gave to Judy.
