Keith M. Wunsch, 67, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on
Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Keith was born on June 13, 1950 at Holy Family Hospital,
Manitowoc, son of the late Melvin and Margaret (Clark) Wunsch. He attended
grade school at Holy Redeemer, graduating from Washington High School, Two
Rivers, in 1968. Later that year he was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co., Two
Rivers, saving most of his earnings to attend MATC, Milwaukee, receiving his
Associates Degree in hotel restaurant management, in 1971. Keith became chef
for the Latham-Smith Lodge, Sturgeon Bay, in 1973 and started cooking for Holy
Family Hospital in Manitowoc. In 1977, Keith was hired by the Hoffbrau Supper
Club in Sheboygan, where he worked for one year. In 1978 he began his
employment with the Kohler Co., retiring in 2012 after 34 years of service.
Keith enjoyed entertaining friends and family at his home on
Bell Ave., Sheboygan, preparing wonderful meals for his guests at numerous
dinner parties. He loved his music and dancing, gardening, traveling,
especially the Heli-hiking tour in the Canadian Rockies, feeding birds in his
backyard, and visiting the residents at Pine Haven Christian Nursing Home in
Sheboygan Falls.
Keith is survived by sisters; Jean Klein of AZ, Linda (Tim)
Mahar of FL, Luanne (Mike) Soliwoda of Black Creek, WI and Trudi (Don) Pabst of
Wind Lake, WI; brothers, Mark (Carol) Wunsch of Cedarburg, WI and Gregory
(Debbie) Wunsch of NH; six nieces; two nephews; and long time friend, Dave Buchholz
of Sheboygan.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, his brother,
Gary and special friend, Marty Benson.
A funeral service to celebrate Keith’s life will be held on Wednesday,
January 3, 2018 at 11am at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Rev.
Joe Dominic officiating. Burial will be at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday,
January 2, 2018 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls from 4-8pm and
again on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the CHURCH from 10am until the time of
mass at 11am.
A memorial fund is being established in Keith’s name for the
AIDS Foundation.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the
staff of DaVita Dialysis Center, the ICU nurses, Dr. Brooks and the Aurora at
Home Hospice for all the care and compassion they showed to Keith.
