SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Two more area private schools will be getting state vouchers next school year. The Department of Public Instruction released their list Tuesday of 31 schools that will be part of the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program. St. Paul Lutheran School and Trinity Lutheran School - both in Sheboygan - will join Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School, Sheboygan Christian School, and St. John Lutheran School in Plymouth in the program.
Based on the just over 3,400 applications received statewide, St. John and Sheboygan Lutheran will only get 10 vouchers each for next school year. Sheboygan Christian School will get at least 20 vouchers, while St. Paul and Trinity will each get at least 10. These three schools are also eligible for more based on a random drawing to take place later this month.
