MADISON, WI (WHBL) - Another area state legislator will not be running for re-election this fall. 26th District Representative Mike Endsley of Sheboygan announced this afternoon he will not run for another term this November.
In a statement, Endsley said the decision comes after consulting with his family and wants to explore new opportunities in the private sector. He was first elected to the Assembly in 2010 and re-elected in 2012. He says his time in Madison was a true privilege to help put Wisconsin’s fiscal house in order, improve the state’s economic climate, and support job creating initiatives.
Endsley is the second area legislators to announce retirement plans once their current term ends. Earlier this year 59th District Representative Dan LeMahieu announced his retirement from the Legislature after 12 years.
