SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man is in the county jail this morning after a domestic disturbance and a police chase into Manitowoc County. Sheboygan Police were called to the disturbance between a husband and wife in the 1500 block of New Jersey Avenue around 4:30 Monday afternoon. Sgt. Michael Stelter said the 28 year old husband had left the home with a handgun and and fled in his vehicle as officers arrived. The chase went south on South Business to Washington Avenue at speeds of up to 50 miles an hour and then as fast as 90 when it reached I-43. Stelter said the pursuit was terminated for safety reasons, but the suspect’s car was later spotted stopped in Manitowoc County along LS at X, and the suspect was seen running through the farm fields. He was taken into custody and then to Sheboygan Memorial for treatment of hypothermia. Now he’s in the county jail facing numerous charges.
