GREENBUSH, WI (WHBL) - The Wade House is ready to host its latest round of Hearthside Dinner events this Saturday. Bridgitt Zielke said up to 20 participants will experience everything when it came to cooking a midday meal back in the 1850s and 60s. The experience includes preparing the food and cleaning up afterwards.
The menu for the meal includes squash soup, pork loin roast, mashed turnips, bread pudding and more. Zielke said past participants enjoyed the experience and are surprised with how the meal taste when cooked over a hearth.
While registration is closed for Saturday's event, spots are still available for the February, March and April dinners and cost is $45. You can contact the Wade House for more information.
