SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - State legislators from Sheboygan County are weighing in on the latest projections for a state revenue surplus of over 900-million dollars. Senator Joe Leibham calls it great news for Wisconsin taxpayers. He said he’s looking forward to developing a legislative package that makes Wisconsin more tax friendly, honest and promotes even greater job creations and economic development. Assemblyman Dan LeMahieu of Cascade said the state’s economy is responding because of fiscal decisions made in the last two state budgets. LeMahieu said the money belongs to the taxpayers and needs to be sent back to them - not spent on expanding state programs.
