WESTON, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker has approved emergency rules related to the implementation of the Deer Trustee report by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The purpose of the report is to better manage the state's deer population, including deer management consolidation and creating deer management advisory committees in every county.
Governor Walker made the announcement during a convention in Weston. He says the rule change is the "right approach" so that the state's rich heritage of deer hunting will continue to thrive for generations.
