GREEN BAY, WI (WHBL) - If this is a peek at the regular season, the Green Bay Packers have to like what they see. Aaron Rodgers threw for two touchdowns, running back Eddie Lacy added a T-D, and free agent signee Julius Peppers had a sack as the Packers rolled past Oakland 31-21 on Friday night. Raiders starting quarterback Matt Schaub played into the third quarter and hit 13-of-27 for 110 yards.
The Packers were up by three touchdowns in the third quarter and backups and players hoping to make the team played the rest of the way. Andrew Quarless and Jordy Nelson caught Rodgers’ scoring passes. The action stopped for several minutes in the second quarter when Raider linebacker Sio Moore suffered a neck injury. He was taken to a hospital for observation.
The Packers will wrap up the preseason on Thursday night against Kansas City at Lambeau Field.
