SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County Clerk Jon Dolson says he takes full responsibility for the late election results on Tuesday and he’s working to get things straightened out by the November election. Dolson told WHBL News he’s probably – as he put it – “The most hacked off person in the county." Final vote totals in Sheboygan County weren’t available until about 1:30 on Wednesday morning. Dolson admitted “It’s totally my fault." He said he will be contacting several other counties in an effort to come up with a faster system of posting election results. Dolson said accuracy is most important, but he is aware of the public’s demands for quick information on cell phones, tablets and computers. Meanwhile, Dolson said more than 200 absentee ballots are being counted by municipal clerks and those totals will be available on Tuesday during the canvass of the vote. In the meantime, Senator Joe Leibham - who apparently lost the 6th District Congressional primary by 215 votes - has said he will wait until all numbers are final before deciding on requesting a recount.
