MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - He may be the sheriff of Milwaukee County, but he’s still a law enforcement officer.
Sheriff David Clarke pulled over a driver who appeared to be trying to run another car off the road last Thursday.
Don T. Bush told the sheriff the driver of the other car was his girlfriend. She returned to the scene and told Clarke the man was her ex-boyfriend and actually had been trying to run her off the road. Her sons, ages 12 and 15, were in the car with her at the time.
Bush reportedly has a history of domestic violence.
Clarke called Milwaukee police, who responded and took the man into custody. They found that Bush had an outstanding municipal warrant for operating after having his license suspended.
