NEW YORK, NY (WHBL) - A pair of homers in the first inning led the Milwaukee Brewers past the New York Mets Friday night, 4-2. Norichika Aoki started off the first inning with a solo shot, followed by a two-run homer from Khris Davis. The Mets would close to within one run in the sixth, but a homer from Martin Maldonado in the seventh sealed the win. Pitcher Yovani Gallardo snagged his 12th win of the season in six innings of work, allowing two runs on seven hits and six strikeouts. With two games left in the season, Brewers and Mets are back in action this afternoon.
