RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WSAU) - The home where Aaron Schaffhausen murdered his three daughters is gone. The heavy equipment was at the corner of Morningside and Ridgecrest in River Falls, and knocked it down Tuesday.
Affinity Plus Credit Union owns the property after acquiring it through foreclosure. They allowed volunteers to salvage what they could for the local Habitat for Humanity chapter, such as doors, windows, and appliances. Their management decided not to try selling the home because of what happened there.
The lender plans to sell the lot and donate the proceeds towards a memorial park in honor of the young victims, Amara, Sophie, and Cecilia Schaffhausen.
