MADISON, WI (WHBL) - For the second game in a row, the Wisconsin defense shut down an opposing offense. It’s also the first time that’s happened since 1958. The Badgers defeated Tennessee Tech Saturday afternoon 48-0. Running back Melvin Gordon rushed for 140 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown run. James White rushed for 109 yards and freshman Corey Clement added 149 rushing yards, marking the second game in a row that three Wisconsin backs rushed over the century mark. Joel Stave was also impressive, throwing 24-of-29 for 219 yards and three touchdowns. The Badger’s defense allowed just 113 yards in total offense. Wisconsin will get a tougher test next Saturday night, as they travel to Arizona State.
