SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan County 2014 budget will be up for a public hearing Tuesday night. The county board convenes at six o’clock in the county courthouse to take public comment on the 126-million dollar budget. As proposed, the budget will require a property tax levy of 833-thousand dollars - an increase of nearly two percent. It’s only the third increase in the last seven years and will result in a county tax rate of $5.60 per thousand of equalized value, or 19 cents more than the current rate.
