SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The 52.5-million dollar Sheboygan city budget comes back before the city council for final approval Monday night. Spending for 2014 is up by about 500-thousand dollars, or about one percent. More than half of the entire budget goes for police, fire and public works - nearly 28-million dollars. If approved as presented, city property owners will pay about a dime per thousand more for city services, not including the state, county and school tax. The total tax bill, including all components, last year was $23.78 per thousand of assessed value.
