CANCUN, MEXICO (WHBL) - The Wisconsin men's basketball team has its first 7-0 start in 10 years, after beating Saint Louis 63-57 Tuesday night at the Cancun Challenge in Mexico. The 10th-ranked Badgers led by eight at the intermission. Frank Kaminsky and Traevon Jackson combined on an 11-2 run to start the second half, which put Wisconsin up by 15. The Billikens got to within five with 1:44 left, but the Badgers scored the next five points to put the game away. Wisconsin out-shot Saint Louis 47-to-33 percent. Jackson led the Badgers with 16 points and six rebounds. Kaminsky added 12 points, eight boards, and four blocks. Rob Loe led Saint Louis with 15 points. The Billikins lost their first game of the season after five victories. They'll play Old Dominion tonight in the consolation game. Wisconsin will play West Virginia this evening for the tournament title. The Mountaineers are 5-1 after beating Old Dominion 78-60.
