UNDATED (WHBL) - If you’re a customer of Alliant Energy, your electric bill will be going up. The PSC yesterday approved Alliant’s request for a rate hike. It will mean an increase of $1.17 in the monthly bill of the typical residential customer beginning in January. Alliant President John Larsen said even with the increase, customers’ per kilowatt-hour costs will still be lower than they were in 2011.
