The Marquette Golden Eagles are one win away from their first Final Four appearance in a decade after beating Miami of Florida 71-61 in the East Regional semifinals Thursday night in Washington D.C.. Marquette (26-8) put on a solid show on both ends of the floor, building a 29-16 lead at the half, holding the Hurricanes to a chilly 21% shooting from the floor. Jamil Wilson led the Golden Eagles with 16 points while Vander Blue and Devante Gardner chipped in with 14. Marquette's offense set up good looks and when Miami pressed in the second half, the Golden Eagles broke it for layups on several occassions pushing the lead to as much as 22 points. Marquette will face Big East rival Syracuse in the Regional Final Saturday. The Orange knocked out top seeded Indiana 61-50.
