Wisconsin only hit 15 of their 58 shots, and was 7 of 30 from three-point range. Sam Dekker was the only Badger in double figures, with 14 points. Ole Miss became the third of the four Number-12 seeds to upset Number-Fives in the first two days of the tournament. California and Oregon were the others. Bo Ryan’s Badgers ended their 15th straight NCAA tournament run with a season mark of 23-12. The U-W made the Sweet-16 in each of the last two years, and they lost their tournament opener for only the second time in Ryan's 12 seasons in Madison.
