ADAMS, WI (WTAQ) - A 28 year old Adams man has been arrested in the fatal shotgun shooting of his girlfriend early Saturday morning.

Coleman Dybul told authorities he fired a shotgun he kept near his bed after she startled him while he was sleeping.

27 year of Toni Voss was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dybul was arrested by the Adams County Sheriff’s Department on suspicion of first-degree reckless homicide. He’s in jail awaiting formal charges to be filed.

A young child who was in the house when the shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. was unharmed and is said to be staying with a family member.
