Sheboygan School District asking for public help for long range planning

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan Area School District is asking for public input regarding how their long-range plan should look.  Superintendent Joseph Sheehan, speaking on Sheboygan’s Morning News Wednesday, said the district board reviewed the plan Tuesday following the end of year three in this five year process.  Now the district is looking for assistance from residents, asking for their opinion regarding what they value and what they think the district should focus on.

Based on some past discussions with faculty and administration, Sheehan said some parts the plan may include would be to mandate a financial literacy course, increasing partnerships with area businesses, and have middle school students take up an academic and career plan.

The first of five meetings will be held July 16 at Central Office, and is expected to last around 90 minutes.  A full schedule can be found on the district’s website.
