SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A project underway in the city of Sheboygan will beautify the city from now to fall. It’s called the Sheboygan Project and is the work of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. Andrea Avery from the Center calls it “street art” but artfully done. She said the brightly painted murals will be located on about a dozen city-owned sites that have been identified throughout the city. They will be painted from now to September or October under the direction of various visiting artists. Some sites have already been selected, such as Deland Park, Fountain Park and the railroad bridge on Washington Avenue, where work is already underway. Andrea says the project is being funded through grants from the National Endowment for the Arts.
