Astros 7, Brewers 4

HOUSTON, TX (WHBL) - Carlos Pena hit a three-run walk-off homer Thursday afternoon to give the Houston Astros a 7-4, 10-inning home win over the Milwaukee Brewers. The Crew had not trailed until Pena's winning blast. Michael Gonzalez took the loss to drop to 0-3. It was an error-filled contest in which Houston committed three miscues, and Milwaukee one. Six of the eleven total runs were unearned. In the 10th, Gonzalez threw a wild-pitch on strike-three that sent Carlos Corporan to first. J-D Martinez then doubled before the winning homer, which ended an 0 for 19 slump by the Astros with runners in scoring position. Hector Ambriz threw a scoreless 10th to get the win and improve to 2-4. The Astros sent the game to extra innings with a solo homer by Corporan in the eighth which tied the contest. Jonathan Lucroy hit a solo blast, and Jean Segura and Carlos Gomez had two hits apiece as the Brewers ended their nine-game road trip at 4-5. The Crew has still not had a winning road trip all season. The Astros took 2 of 3 in the series, and have won six of their last eight.  Astros' outfielder Trevor Crowe was hurt in the sixth while tracking down Lucroy's homer. He left an inning later. The Brewers returned to 13 games below .500. They’ll host Atlanta tonight.  Right-hander Wily Peralta will face Braves’ right-hander Julio Teheran.  Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 6:35.
