MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - A man who jumped into the Milwaukee River died Sunday, after two others jumped in to try and save him.
Fire department officials said the victim was strolling on Milwaukee’s downtown River Walk when he somehow fell in.
Two witnesses jumped in, but could not reach the victim. The two left the water on their own, but a police rescue boat was called to pull out the third person.
The Milwaukee County medical examiner’s office confirmed the death.
Media reports said the victim was a middle-aged man.
