DENVER, CO (WHBL) - The Colorado Rockies scored four runs in the second and fourth innings to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 8-3 Friday night. Wily Peralta had a tough start in the game, allowing eight runs and seven hits in three-and-two-third innings of work. The Brewers made a push for runs in the sixth inning, but it wasn't enough. If there was any bright spot in the game for the Brewers, it was Carlos Gomez’s 449-foot home run in the ninth inning – the longest in his career. Game two of the three-game series takes place Saturday night. Pregame coveragte on WHBL begins at 6:35.
