SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County’s 2014 budget process is underway. County Administrator Adam Payne presented preliminary budget figures to county board members Tuesday evening. Based on current numbers, Payne said the county will have to cover a deficit of around 2.2 million dollars. He is confident that actions can be taken, such as health insurance changes and one- time money sources, to cover that. The current estimated impact on county taxpayers would be a three dollar increase on a one hundred thousand dollar home. The budget process continues on in committees, with board and public consideration in October.
