SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - Plenty of Fourth of July activities are scheduled to be held throughout the area this Thursday. Sheboygan will have the majority of activities, all starting with their annual parade in the downtown area at 9 a.m.
When appearing on Sheboygan’s Morning News Tuesday, Mayor Mike Vandersteen said the parade will start on Eighth Street this year instead of Seventh Street per a request from the Classic Reunion, which will perform its farewell performance at the parade. Other than this, Vandersteen said the parade will be similar in route to years past; heading north on Eighth Street, east on Michigan Avenue, south on Broughton Drive to Deland Park. Other activities are scheduled throughout the day in the city, capped by the fireworks show along the lakeshore at 9:30 p.m.
Looking at other community activities for this Thursday; In Kohler, their annual Sousa Concert will be held at 8 p.m. at Ravine Park. That will be followed by fireworks. In Plymouth, fireworks are scheduled to be held at 9:30 p.m. at the Quit Qui Oc Sports Complex.
