SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan woman faces charges after allegedly being combative to police officers and a paramedic while in custody last weekend.  23-year-old Shaylah Schmidt-Hersh faces two battery felonies and a disorderly conduct charge.

According to a criminal complaint, A Sheboygan Falls officer arrested Schmidt-Hersh early Saturday morning in that city’s downtown area after she started to confront another person.  While in custody, Schmidt-Hersh would resist and allegedly attack several officers with kicks, spits and bite attempts.  At one point she was transported to a hospital for examination and, on the way there,  continued to resist -  causing a three inch scratch on an attending paramedic.  When asked why she was acting this way, she said she wanted everyone to know “she’s back in town."

Online court records show no court action as of Monday.
