SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan teen will stand trial in adult court for the brutal murder of his great-grand mother and has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. 14 year old Antonio Barbeau appeared Thursday before Judge Timothy Van Akkeren who accepted his request to remain in adult court. His attorney had been considering attempting to have the case transferred to juvenile court. Barbeau and his friend, 14 year old Nathan Paape are charged with first degree murder in the bludgeoning and robbing of 78 year old Barbara Olson in her Sheboygan Falls home last September. Barbeau is scheduled for a jury trial in March. Paape will be back in court next week for a reverse waiver hearing to have his case transferred to juvenile court.
