SHEBOYGAN, Wis.(WHBL) - A Sheboygan man is dead after being stabbed in the back during a disturbance in the city of Sheboygan on Saturday afternoon. Sheboygan Police said it happened shortly before 4:30 in the 1400 block of South 12th Street. Captain Jim Veeser said officers responded and found 41 year old Nicholas Lehrke with a stab wound to the back. He was taken to Sheboygan Memorial where he died of the injury. Veeser said a 21 year old Oshkosh man was arrested at the scene and is in the county jail facing a possible charge of 2nd degree reckless homicide. Veeser said the incident began with an altercation between Lehrke and another roommate outside of the apartment building. He said that’s when the suspect allegedly intervened and stabbed Lehrke. Veeser said alcohol may be involved and the investigation is continuing.
