SHERWOOD, Wis (WSAU) There was a fatal ATV accident on Lake Winnebago on Sunday.

A 42-year-old man drove into open water, and was trapped under the ice for nearly an hour before he was rescued. The accident happened on Saturday near the marina at High Cliff State Park.

A partner on a second ATV was able to stop in time, and went for help.

The victim's name has not been released.

Meanwhile in Douglas County the search was suspended for a missing snowmobiler who was last seen on St. Louis Bay in Superior.

Authorities are looking for 51-year-old Craig Friebe.

Overnight temperature there were at -10, with a wind chill of -35. The search will resume this morning.
