UNDATED (WKZO) – Former Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm announced Thursday she is leaving her current affairs show The War Room on cable network Current TV after news that Al-Jazeera had purchased the company.
The deal was finalized Wednesday after the cable network’s founder former vice president Al Gore, a Democrat, and other partners agreed to sell the liberal-leaning company due to poor ratings.
Interest in the sale of Current TV is trending in the state of Michigan as former Granholm supporters and non-supporters look to new developments in the story. Michael Patrick Shiels on Michigan’s Big Show, spoke on the issues surrounding Granholm’s involvement with Current TV and the implications she may have had in its sale to Al-Jazeera. Catch it above.
