The Milwaukee Bucks opened the second half of the NBA season in Brooklyn Tuesday night and lost an overtime hearbreaker 113-111. The Nets' Joe Johnson knocked down a three point shot at the horn in regulation to force overtime and then did it again, hitting a two point shot at the OT buzzer to cap a 24 point night. Brandon Jennings led the Bucks with 34 points, Ersan Ilyasova had 21 and Larry Sanders returned after missing a couple of weeks with a back injury by scoring 14 points, pulling down 8 rebounds and blocking six shots. Milwaukee (26-26) won't have to wait long to get even, they turn around and host the Nets at the Bradley Center on Wednesday night.
The Bucks were also one of three teams being mentioned as a possible destination for Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta is entertaining trade talks before Thursday's NBA trading deadline.
